 FODfest (Friends of Daniel Pearl)

Lakeridge is sponsoring a special fundraising concert for FODfest (Friends of Daniel Pearl) on Saturday, August 28th, 2010 @ 8 p.m. FODfest concerts offer a unique performance experience that is part concert, part song-swap, & part jam session which celebrates Daniel Pearl’s ideals of tolerance & unity. FODfest’s mission is to celebrate these ideals by bringing musicians of all ages, backgrounds, & musical genres together in one festive performance.
In addition to the concert, Lakeridge will offer a silent auction with thousands of dollars in unique merchandise & lifestyle items going to the lucky highest bidders. Due to the tireless efforts of the volunteers on the FODfest committee over $4,000 in ads & sponsorships for the concert have been sold to date & more is in works.
Individual tickets for the event alone may be purchased for $25 per person with checks made out to “FODfest” or individual tickets for a buffet dinner & the concert may be purchased for $40 each, of which $15 per person will be charged directly to your unit. We need your reservation & checks by August 8th to ensure a seat at the East Lodge for this incredible evening of music & unity. ABOUT FODfest
FODfest, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen, empower, & educate communities through the universal language of music. Founded in 2005, FODfest was created by musician Todd Mack of Sheffield, MASS in tribute to journalist & personal friend Daniel Pearl, a talented musician who believed in the power of music to bring people together. FODfest celebrates this ideal by bringing audiences & musicians of all ages, backgrounds, & musical genres together to perform, often meeting for the first time on stage. FODfest has performed in more than 50 communities across the U.S. & far-east, featured nearly 750 musicians, & has reached thousands of people from broad demographic backgrounds. Musician, songwriter, & producer Todd Mack honors his friend with a legacy that reflects the ideals by which Pearl lived.
